On
February 25, 2000, The Blood-Horse, Inc., an
international publishing house for top
Thoroughbred and general equine magazines, books,
videos, CD-ROMS and annual references, launched
its new book publishing division, Eclipse
Press.
Previously, The Blood-Horse marketed its books
under The Blood-Horse banner.
The Blood-Horse enjoys tremendous name and brand
equity within the Thoroughbred community, but we
determined Eclipse Press would appeal to
mainstream consumers as we continue to expand our
presence in retail outlets.

Eclipse Press is
dedicated to the enjoyment and welfare of
the horse. Titles range from practical
aspects of hands-on horsemanship to
equine art and retrospectives on the
great Thoroughbred racehorses.
Eclipse Press pays tribute to the great
undefeated racehorse and foundation sire
Eclipse, whose birth in 1764 coincided
with a solar eclipse. The name also
signifies our commitment to strive for
excellence. |

| We have a core
stable of authors with whom we work
closely to maintain each author's voice
and ensure the highest quality of
product. We are, however, always seeking
new voices as we continue to grow and
expand into all areas of equine
non-fiction. Manuscript
