Trick Training Your Horse to Success
Jan Sharp

Pub Date: June 2004.
Trick Training Your Horse to Success is aimed at the owner or rider who wants to improve her horse’s mind and body by teaching the horse to be a more responsive, submissive, confident, and happy performer. Trick training can help achieve these objectives, whether the goal is championship ribbons, a safer trail horse, or the simple joy of working with and training a horse.

Author Jan Sharp shares the secrets of a successful trick trainer, advising readers how to select a trick horse, where to begin training, and what tools are needed. She addresses how to solve behavior issues such as tail turning then provides step-by-step instructions for teaching a horse such tricks as bowing, standing on a box, pushing a ball, and rearing.

Trick Training Your Horse to Success includes photographs that allow the reader to follow the teaching of individual tricks.
