About the Author:
Milton C. Toby, J.D., practices law and mediation in Georgetown, Kentucky, near Lexington. In addition to his law practice, Toby teaches equine law at Midway College in Midway, Kentucky, and at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington. He also is developing an online equine law and taxation course for Midway College.
Toby has enjoyed a lifelong involvement with horses. He exhibited American Saddlebreds in shows and competed in hunter, combined training, and dressage events. He served as a steward for the American Horse Shows Association (now United States Equestrian Federation) and as a director of the Kentucky Horse Council. He also has worked as a journalist and photographer.
In addition to The Complete Equine Business & Legal Handbook, Toby is the author of Understanding Equine Law and Understanding Equine Business Basics (co-written with former law partner, Karen Perch); Ruffian in the Thoroughbred Legends series; and Col. Sager, Practitioner, which recounts the experiences of the late Col. Floyd Sager, one of the country’s most prominent equine veterinarians.
Toby lives in Georgetown, Kentucky.
