Bill
Heller, a freelance writer in Albany, New
York, won the 1997 Eclipse Award for
Magazine Writing for his story, The
Times They Are a-Changin, in The
Backstretch magazine. He also is a
three-time winner of the John Hervey
Award for Harness Racing Magazine
Writing. Heller won the 1999 Bill Leggett
Breeders Cup magazine writing award
and a 2000 writing award from the
American Horse Publications. He currently
writes for the Thoroughbred Times,
The Backstretch, and Mid-Atlantic
Thoroughbred.
Heller has authored eleven other books,
